Engine Cleaning That
Doesn't Cut Corners.
Road salt, oil residue, and years of grime build up under the hood just like everywhere else on your vehicle — it just doesn't get looked at as often. We degrease, dress, and protect your engine bay on-site, right in your driveway.
Why We Offer This
Most detailers skip engine cleaning entirely, and most car owners never think to ask. But an engine bay that's caked in old degreaser residue, oil spatter, and years of road film isn't just unattractive — it's harder to inspect, harder to work on, and it holds onto moisture and salt that speeds up corrosion on hoses, connectors, and metal brackets. A clean, dressed engine bay is also one of the fastest ways to add real, visible value if you're ever selling the car or bringing it to a show.

What A Clean Engine Bay Actually Does For You
Slows Corrosion
Road salt and moisture that sit trapped under caked-on grime speed up rust on brackets, clamps, and exposed metal. Clearing that buildup gives corrosion less to hold onto.
Easier To Spot Problems
A clean bay makes it obvious when something new — a drip, a stain, a frayed line — shows up. Grime hides small issues until they become expensive ones.
Protects Resale Value
Buyers and appraisers pop the hood. A dressed, presentable engine bay signals a car that's been cared for everywhere, not just where it's easy to see.
What We Won't Do (And Why)
We take the same honest-expectations approach here that we do with every service we offer. We do not pressure-wash engine bays, disconnect battery terminals, or use high-pressure water anywhere near electrical connectors, sensors, or the alternator — that's how engine bays actually get damaged, not cleaned. We also won't promise to remove years of established corrosion or restore heavily deteriorated plastics to like-new condition; some wear is permanent, and we'll always tell you honestly what a detail can and can't fix before we start.
If your engine bay has exposed wiring, a known coolant or oil leak, or recent mechanical work that hasn't fully cured or sealed, let us know when you book — we may recommend waiting or adjusting our approach to keep things safe.
Common Questions
Is it actually safe to clean an engine bay while it's running or has been recently driven?
We always work on a cooled-down engine. A hot engine bay is more dangerous for us and can cause water or cleaner to react badly with hot metal and plastic. If you've just driven, we'll simply wait a few minutes before starting.
Will this damage my electronics or trigger a check engine light?
Not with our process. We hand-mask sensitive components — sensors, connectors, the alternator, the air intake — before any liquid touches the bay. This is one of the reasons we don't use pressure washers under the hood.
Do I need to book this separately, or can it be added to another service?
Either way works. You can book it as a standalone service or add it on when booking any exterior or full detail — just let us know at the time of booking so we can plan for the extra time.
How often should I get this done?
For most daily drivers, once or twice a year keeps things in good shape. If you're prepping for a show, a sale, or an inspection, we'd recommend the Signature tier a few days ahead of time rather than the same day.
