We also won't promise to remove years of established corrosion or restore heavily deteriorated plastics to like-new condition; some wear is permanent, and we'll always tell you honestly what a detail can and can't fix before we start.

DIY vs. Professional Engine Bay Cleaning
A basic wipe-down with a garden hose and an automotive-safe degreaser is a reasonable weekend project, and plenty of owners do it themselves without issue. Where a professional visit tends to earn its cost is in the details that are easy to miss without experience — knowing which components on your specific engine deserve extra masking, using dressing products that won't leave plastic trim looking greasy or turn white with UV exposure over time, and simply moving efficiently because we've done this enough times to not cut corners. For routine upkeep, DIY works fine. For anything closer to show-quality, where every bracket and surface needs individual attention, that's where the time investment tends to outweigh the appeal of doing it yourself.
What To Expect During Your Appointment
You don't need to prep anything before we arrive. We'll let the engine cool if you've recently driven, walk the bay with you if you have specific concerns, and get to work using the masking and low-pressure process outlined above. For Essentials, plan on 15 to 30 minutes; Signature detail work typically runs 60 to 90 minutes or more depending on the vehicle. We're happy to bundle either tier with any of our other car detailing services if you'd rather have everything done in one visit.

Not automatically — it's offered as an add-on to any exterior or full car detailing package, or as a standalone service on its own. If you want it included, just mention it when booking so we can plan the extra time into the appointment.
Do you offer this as part of your regular car detailing services?
Yes. Engine Bay Essentials and Signature Engine Detail sit alongside our full lineup of car detailing services — interior, exterior, paint correction, and ceramic coating — and can be booked together or on their own.
Is it actually safe to clean an engine bay while it's running or has been recently driven?
We always work on a cooled-down engine. A hot engine bay is more dangerous for us and can cause water or cleaner to react badly with hot metal and plastic. If you've just driven, we'll simply wait a few minutes before starting.
Will this damage my electronics or trigger a check engine light?
Not with our process. We hand-mask sensitive components — sensors, connectors, the alternator, the air intake — before any liquid touches the bay. This is one of the reasons we don't use pressure washers under the hood.
Do I need to book this separately, or can it be added to another service?
Either way works. You can book it as a standalone service or add it on when booking any exterior or full detail — just let us know at the time of booking so we can plan for the extra time.
How often should I get this done?
For most daily drivers, once or twice a year keeps things in good shape. If you're prepping for a show, a sale, or an inspection, we'd recommend the Signature tier a few days ahead of time rather than the same day.
